CUSTOM UMBRELLA SOURCING

Umbrella Fabric & Logo Printing: A Buyer’s Guide

Fabric and artwork should be reviewed together. The selected textile, surface finish, print area and intended appearance all affect what needs to be confirmed before production.

Use the specification for the selected model

Read the material listed on the product page and confirm it for your order. Terms such as polyester, pongee, coating and transparency describe different aspects of a canopy. A fabric label alone does not establish a tested UV or waterproof rating.

Match the artwork to the print area

Prepare the logo size, number of positions and required colours. Small branding on one panel and an illustrated full canopy are different production briefs. Ask the supplier to confirm the suitable printing method for the selected material and artwork.

Understand the role of the print method

Screen printing, digital printing and transfer methods can suit different artwork and production requirements. Availability depends on material, artwork coverage and project details; confirm the actual process rather than choosing only from a generic method name.

Agree on colour references

Provide artwork files and colour references together. Review how colours look on the actual substrate and coating. Include sleeve and packaging colours if they must match the umbrella presentation.

Request evidence for performance claims

If your market requires a specific claim, discuss the test method, product configuration and documentation needed. A dark coating or a photograph is not a substitute for a product-specific report.
